AHPGA Golfer Claims His Fifth Palm Meadows Amateur Golf Cup
After narrowly missing the cut at the Tasmanian Golf Open last week Matthew Williams today claimed his fifth Palm Meadows Amateur Golf Cup with a solid 1 under par 71 around the Palm Meadows golf course. Today`s round was highlighted by a spectacular 90 foot putt for eagle on the signature hole at Palm Meadows Golf Course, the par five 18th hole. After two bogies on the inward nine, Matthew finished his golf round strongly with birdies on the 7th hole and par five 9th hole (his last hole), where he had another great opportunity for eagle after hitting his second shot to 12 feet. Congratulations Matthew on your win today from all the team at AHPGA.
