AHPGA Juniors Perform Well at Greg Norman Junior Masters

Australian High Performance Golf Academy Juniors have performed well at the recent Greg Norman Junior Masters (GNJ Masters) at Coolangatta- Tweed Heads Golf Club.
At this years GNJ Masters AHPGA was well represented with no less than nine of our Advanced Juniors qualifying for this years tournament. We had 3 top 5 finishes and 3 top 10 finishes.
Our girls were lead by Ellie Na who finished 2nd in the 13 years and under girls. In the 15 years and under girls Sung- Hee Hwang finished 6th and Michelle Pericic finished 7th. Congratulations Sung- Hee and congratulations Michelle on your good play in your first Greg Norman Junior Masters. Michelle recorded the best score for her age division in round two with an impressive even par round of 73.
In the boys division Elliot Smith continued his great play this year and finished 2nd in the overall nett and 7th in his age division for boys 15 years and under. This was another fine performance from young Elliot who earlier this year won the overall nett and finished 4th in his age division at the Jack Newton Junior International. Hyunwoo (Harley) Kim finished 4th in the 13 years and under boys division. Hyun-Jun Kim and Bobin Kang continue to perform well in the big events. Hyun-Jun finished 3rd in the 15 years and under age division and Bobin (who last week finished 11th at the QLD Schoolboys Championship) finished 13th in the 17 years and under boys. Bobin had the equal best score on day one after an opening round of 3 under 69. Congratulations boys and augers well for you for next year. Also congratulations to Toby Moloney and Jayson Mathiou for qualifying for this years GNJ Masters. Toby and Jayson unfortunately missed the 54 hole cut, but the experience of this week will prepare them for next years tournaments.
Congratulations to all of our AHPGA juniors who competed in this years Greg Norman Junior Masters, you are all a credit to the AHPGA Advanced Junior Training Methodology.
