AHPGA Student Progresses to Stage Two of US PGA Tour Q School

    By Tony | November 7, 2007

Australian High Performance Golf Academy (AHPGA) student Steve Jeffress has progressed to the second stage of the US PGA Tour Q School.

Steve has been to Q school on two previous occassions, however this year he is better prepared and goes into the Q school riding a wave of confidence after a very good season here in Australia on the Von Nida Tour ( Australia`s domestic tour).

Things did not go quite as Steve had plannned for week one of Q school, with his original stage one Q school being put back a week due to the fires in California and the venue being moved to Arizona. However, this did not faze Steve, who drew on his experience and good training over the past 3 years on his mental and personal development game with AHPGA Director Lawrie Montague.

Steve finished T2 in Arizona with scores of 68,66,69,65 and a four round total of -16 (268).

Steve now heads back to California this week for stage two of Q school. The PGA Tour Qualifying is over four stages,or 16 rounds of high intensity golf!

Good luck Steve from the AHPGA team!
